Paul Easton of the Dominion Post writes about Collapsing Creation, a recently-penned (and performed) play which has just won an awards trifecta.
The play, written by young playwright Arthur Meek, has won the Peter Harcourt award for outstanding new playwright of the year at the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards, as well as outstanding New Zealand play of the year, and the Chapman Tripp award for best production.

“Born in Wellington, Meek now lives in Auckland with his partner, TV3 newsreader Samantha Hayes.
“Directed by David O’Donnell, Collapsing Creation examines Darwin’s personal struggle as he develops his theory of evolution and braces himself to face the fallout of the publication of On the Origin of Species. When Collapsing Creation played at Downstage last month, Dominion Post reviewer Laurie Atkinson called it “a tour de force, which, of course, could not occur without Meek’s brilliant script”.”
