Experts are warning that those people whose jobs consist primarily (or completely) of sitting behind a desk are facing triple risks for developing blood clots, which can lead to potentially-fatal deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism.
The risk increases as a function both of the maximum number of hours for which a person stays seated, as well as how they are seated without getting up.
