The Science Media Centre is recruiting a Kaimanaaki Pāpāho | Media Advisor.
We are looking for an experienced journalist or exceptional science communicator to join our small, dedicated team. We are an independent, trusted source of resources that reporters and newsrooms rely on, improving the reach and relevance of media coverage of science, health, environment, technology, social and related issues in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We work in a fast-paced environment, immersed in a wide range of research topics and responding rapidly to breaking news stories. You’ll need to be able to make sense of essential information on issues you’re encountering for the first time, and proactively identify angles and contacts that will be useful for New Zealand media.
